Mrs. Robinson's kindergarten class had their own Super Bowl party. We designed our own helmets, jerseys, played bingo, practiced addition, and had a fun snack.

The 5th grade students recently finished up their plaster formed, conversation hearts! We learned about 2D vs. 3D and how awesome plaster can be when it's not being used for broken bones!

Kinders 🩷 speech therapy!
A couple of kindergarten speech students got crafty today while practicing on their speech and language skills!

Speech students strive for a high number of repetitions when they are working on their articulation skills! They like to battle their way to 100! This means they are getting an opportunity to practice their speech sound 100 times! 🤩

This week we are highlighting the Monroe Elementary kitchen staff! They make up a critical component of the school dynamics!
Thanks for being so great!

Phil the Groundhog may have seen his shadow, but it's not keeping students from working on multiple meanings during Speech!

Mrs. Robinson's kindergarten class had a blast celebrating the 100th day! We had a morning filled with 100th day centers. Then we spent the afternoon making necklaces with 100 fruit loops and we made a gigantic ice cream cone.

Kindergarten classes kicked off the 100th day of school with first dressing like 100 year olds, having centers based around the 100th day of school, made 100 fruit loop necklaces, and paraded around showing their costumes. Even the teachers and aides got in on the fun day dressing like old ladies.

Today was a big day! Our PTO purchased new "kicks" for Wren Roberts, the 1st place winner of our school design contest. Thank you, PTO and congrats to our winners.
1st place- Wren Roberts
2nd place tie-Ashton Huckaba and Landon Strong
3rd place-Leila Jones

The 3rd grade classes have been working hard to channel our Jen Stark visions and create some "drippy" art! Jen Stark is a contemporary artist that creates drippy art work on buildings, walls, and canvas space. These hearts are "drippin" with awesomeness!

Some of our younger Zone Room kids participated in the 'Lie Monster' lesson today! They enjoyed putting the tentacles on the monster and taking them off. Here is a link to the story if you'd like to review it with your children.
