This week in the ZONE Room we are reviewing our Zones of Regulation. This framework is a strategy used to help children learn how to self-regulate their emotions and bodies.
*Blue Zone: a state of low alertness or low energy
*Green Zone: a calm, focused, and alert state where a person is able to learn, interact positively, and is considered to be in a regulated state of mind
*Yellow Zone: a state of heightened alertness and more intense emotions, where a person is still able to maintain some control
*Red Zone: a state of intense emotions and heightened alertness, a person has more difficulty managing these feelings or emotions
Try asking your child this week what Zone they might be in.
