✨We're overwhelmed by the support of our Read-A-Thon. Our Monroe families are so generous--we can hardly believe the amount we have collected so far. So thank you, thank you for always supporting us❣ The Read-A-Thon will remain open throughout next week, and students can continue to log minutes.
✨Reading Raffle prizes have been set out (picture below). So many chances for students to take home a prize. Students will turn in Thursday's portion of the Reading Raffle form tomorrow. The more minutes they read, the better their chances are of winning a prize!
✨Students may bring a stuffed animal and a snack to enjoy during silent reading tomorrow.
✨Pajamas or comfy clothes tomorrow!

Read Across America Week Starts this Monday, February 27. We have some fun activities planned to celebrate:
📚Dress-Up Days
📚Read-A-Thon: If you haven’t activated your child’s account, please do so before Monday!
📚Book Raffle: Information is being sent home tonight.
📚Guest Readers: Please return the guest reader form ASAP. A current, 22-23 volunteer form must be on file for all guest readers.
📚“Guess How Many Bookworms”: each student will guess how many “bookworms” are in the jar. The winner gets to take home all of the “bookworms” (gummy worms😉).
📚Stuffed animal and snacks: A flyer with more information will be sent home next week.
As always, we will post information on DOJO throughout the week.

Title I Interventionist for 2023-24 School Year
HELP WANTED:
Monroe Elementary School has the following vacancy for the 2023-2024 school year:
Title I Interventionist. Applicants must have a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL), a substitute teaching license, or an Associate Degree in Education with a Paraprofessional license. Duties include small group instruction/intervention in reading and mathematics, weekly assessment and data management as well as other duties as assigned.
Hours are 7:45 am – 3:00 pm. The starting pay is $16.00/hour.
Interested applicants should send a letter of application, resume and copy of PEL or Illinois Educator Identification Number (IEIN) and birth date for license verification purposes to linda.campbell@caseywestfield.org.
