High School Cross Country got up early the morning after the homecoming dance to participate in a meet at Lawrenceville. The boys and girls teams both received 3rd place! Everyone had a great race with Kayla Clark receiving 1st place, Amelia Washburn 16th, Kaitlyn McKinney 18th, Olivia Henderson 22nd, and Savannah Lyman 23rd. For the boys Eli Richardson received 5th place, Rylie Large 10th, Wade Winnett 14th, Brayden Clark 22nd, and Alex Hancock 27th. Kaleb Perie was unable to run due to injury but he came to cheer on his team and everyone appreciated it!

7th Grade Science Classes have been learning to use the microscopes. For the last several class days they have learned the parts, viewed threads, hair, and pond water.









On Saturday, September 20th High School Cross Country ran at Olney Central College. It was another warm one but everyone did a great job! Eli Richardson medaled at 24th with an 18:03. Wade Winnett medaled at 45th with an 18:38. For the girls Kayla Clark medaled in 8th place with a 20:21. We are proud of all of our runners.

On Monday Junior High Cross Country ran at the Olney Invitational. It was a hot one for sure! Garrick Boyd received a ribbon for 16th place with a time of 12:34 and Harper Littlejohn also received a ribbon for 24th place with a time of 14:58. We are proud of all of them!

On Saturday High School Cross Country competed at Forest Park in Shelbyville. Eli Richardson medaled in 29th place with a time of 18:21. Kayla Clark medaled in 15th place with a time of 20:25. There were a total of 200 high school runners that ran the course. All of our team did a great job on a very hilly course! A special thanks to our injured Audrey Goble who got up early to come and cheer for her teammates.

Junior High Cross Country competed on Tuesday at St. Anthony in the Bullpup Pride Invitational. For the girls Harper Littlejohn 13th, Emmy Kusterman 29th, Addi Harris 39th, Lauren Goble 46th, Addy Cox 48th, Callie Wolfe 50th, and Pyper Whaley 54th. For the boys Garrick Boyd 14th, Kolton Davidson 23rd, Blayne Fisher 50th, and Alex Murray 60th. Harper Littlejohn and Garrick Boyd both received medals for placing in the top 20. We are proud of all of our runners. Great job!










High School and Junior High School Cross Country competed in Charleston's Invitational at EIU this weekend. This was a large meet. For High School Boys there were 243 runners and the girls 177. Kayla Clark medaled with a place of 22nd. For Junior Boys there were 132 runners and for girls there were 119. It was great day with wonderful weather!

7th Graders are learning about classification. Today they were able to participate in a collaborative classification of items in the Science Classroom with their classmates.










High School and Junior High Cross Country competed in the Doc Acklin last Saturday at Paris. Everyone did a great job for what was their first true meet of the season. The standouts of the day were high schooler Kayla Clark with a 5th place medal and junior high runner Harper Littlejohn with a 10th place medal.
