This week features two high school girls’ basketball games. On Monday, the girls take on Richland County at 6:30 pm at home before heading to Mount Carmel on Saturday, 1/14, for the Little Illini Conference Tournament. The Lady Warriors will take on Richland County again starting at 3:30 pm.
High School Boy’s Basketball plays one game this week as they travel to Marshall to take on the Lions. The JV game will begin at 6 pm with the varsity game to follow.
Junior High Volleyball kicks off their season with two games this week. First, they travel to Trinity Lutheran on Monday for a 4:30 pm start before they come back for their home opener on Friday against St. Johns Lutheran at 4:30 pm.
The Junior High Boy’s Basketball teams notched two wins to start off their Little Eastern Illini Conference Tournament on Saturday with a win over Oblong for 8th grade and Marshall for 7th. The seventh-grade team will play on Monday at 6 pm versus Jasper County with the eighth graders playing Tuesday at 6 pm against Lawrenceville. This Saturday the boys will be back on the road, this time against Effingham.

Monroe Elementary School is seeking applicants for a cafeteria helper from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on student attendance days for the remainder of this 2022-23 school year. Starting salary: $15.00 per hour. Candidates should pick up an application at Monroe, the Unit Office, or email Linda Campbell at linda.campbell@caseywestfield.org. Deadline to apply is January 11, 2023.
Casey-Westfield is in need of a Junior High Scholastic Bowl coach for this season. Matches start on February 13th. Please email Mr. Sullivan or Mr. McFarland if you are interested in this position.
The High School Girls Basketball team will play Fairfield at home tonight. The JV game will start at 5pm.
The HS Boys Basketball team will play Charleston at home on 1/3. JV will start at 6pm. The JH Boys Basketball team will play Dieterich on 1/2 at home with the 7th grade game starting at 6pm.
The High School boys basketball game this Friday vs Tuscola has been canceled due to the incoming weather forecast. Efforts are being made to reschedule the game on a later date.
The JV game against Cumberland tonight will start at 6:00. Varsity to follow.
The Casey-Westfield Varsity Boys Basketball team will play Danville High School tomorrow at 1pm in the Hutsonville Shootout.

Our Industrial Arts class have been very busy making crafts for our Open House, to be held on Saturday, December 3rd from 9-4, here in our classroom at Casey Westfield H.S. Applicants must have a high school diploma. Preference will be given to applicants with two years of post-secondary study, Associates Degree, or have passed the Paraprofessional Test. This position requires physical mobility and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Duties include assisting student(s) with basic and educational needs as directed by teachers. Hours are 7:45 am - 3:15 pm on student attendance days beginning on January 3, 2023. The starting pay is $ 13.46/hour.

We will host a FAFSA completion night on November 3rd in the IMC from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. If you need assistance completing the FAFSA graduation requirement, please join us. An email was sent to seniors and parents/guardians with all of the needed information to complete this process.
Shout out to Dahnke Family Farms for allowing Mrs. Seaton’s Applied Language Art 4 class to visit their farm. Today, students learned how to start a business from the ground up. In addition, students enjoyed a visit with Rosie, the reindeer, and picked pumpkins.
